In 2023 our team completed a 12-month tile installation for the redevelopment of the Art Deco Shropshire House off Tottenham Court Road.
Working alongside architect Hambury Hird Design and main contractor Signature London, we installed H&E Smith’s signature Victorian green-glazed metro tiles throughout the lift lobbies across six floors. H&E Smith are known for their heritage and supplying ceramics to the London Underground, making them a fitting choice for the Art Deco building.
To achieve the desired curved finish in the design brief, we meticulously cut and polished the edges of the glazed tiles prior to installation from floor to ceiling. The result breathes new life into this archetypal 1930s building, refreshing it for modern commercial use.
